Last year this great lady,
my mom, came to visit and on her first full day here in Charleston, I pulled her out of bed and we walked the bridge together.
The views from the bridge are terrific.
It was one of the funnest run/walks I have ever done. Though the Southern Gent and I have done the Race for the Cure on Daniel Island, there is something truly fun about doing a run/walk over a bridge you drive almost daily.
The run/walk starts in Cannon Park and we came late to the party so we were the last to cross the bridge. We saw all the walkers and . . .
the runners on their way back across the bridge.
The walkers go only one way across the bridge and get a bus ride back to Cannon Park.
We got to ride with this good looking guy.
Once we were back in the park, we joined the after party!
Want to participate in the James Island Connector Run this year? It’s not too late. You can register tomorrow morning from 6:00 to 8:30 a.m. at Cannon Park. Race starts at 8:30 a.m. Dress warm and let me know if you go!
