Beggars

Standard

During my lunch hour I occasionally sit in a park near my office and read or just enjoy the sights. Those sights included some squirrels the other day.

The difference between this day and other days – FOOD. I quickly noticed I was being watched. See him there staring at me between the bench boards?

I ignored them, at first.

They came closer and closer though.

So I gave in and threw a sweet potato fry to one.

My moment of weakness was catching. A lady came and sat on then park bench across from me and figured they might like some chocolate cake.

Beggars – I live at home with two dogs that watch my every move with food and now I know that if I go to the park, the squirrels will too! Who knows what they would have done if we had not given them a peace offering.

Watch yourself if you go to the park. You have been warned.
