Black Bean Co.

Standard

Delicious . . . wait, that’s not the name. It’s called the Black Bean Co. and it is now on James Island and even features a drive-thru! David and I stopped at this new eatery on Sunday before we went to see the last Harry Potter flick.

We were greeted by a friendly staff and an outdoorsy inspired decorating motiff inside. The walls were partially painted a warm shade of green and paired with dark wood paneling.  Menus were posted on chalk boards and a paper version was also available to take home (take out here we come!).

Ordering was accomplished at the counter and after we seated ourselves our food was delivered to our table within five minutes. We both selected the Black and Blue wrap: chicken (or turkey) with mixed greens, avocado, black beans, jasmine rice, blue cheese and a fig balsamic vinaigrette.

We made short work of our meal and loved how the varied combination of ingredients blended well and sparked a medley of tastiness on our palette. Our meal also came with a side of couscous. David and I thought it was a little dry so next time we will try one of their other sides.

Sides aside though, the Black Bean Co. will definitely become one of our favorite restaurants on James Island. I plan on trying one of their Power Gyros or Salads next time. Oh, and they even serve breakfast!

Stop in a check it out folks. It is not to be missed.
