Hidden Treasure!

This past Saturday was a beautiful day that actually did not get into the high nineties and the humidity was bearable too. That was a treasure in itself. But, I found even more to be thankful for that day.

That dirt patch to the left has a nice rock border lovingly installed by the prior owner of our house. David and I have discussed putting down stones inside the wall to make a rock patio. Problem is, most types of patio options are a little out of our price range right at the immediate moment.

Now, why it never occurred to either of us that there might be some stones under all that dirt. That the lady who lovingly installed the rock wall would also have put down some stones of her own inside the wall. I have no idea.

This brings me to what I found. Do you see it there in that picture above? The hidden treasure?

How about now? There in the bottom left corner. If not . . .

Maybe now? Yes I know, it is only a rock. But it is a flat rock. Do you see the outline of all the other stones that are hidden underneath that dirt? For me this weekend, finding this hidden rock patio was like finding a treasure.

It’s funny what a little patience and some raking will reveal. Perhaps it is true what they say, that all good things come to those who wait.
