Divine Idea – June 10th

Standard

Quote:

Imitation is Suicide. Insist on yourself; never imitate. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Challenge:

Write down in which areas of your life you have to overcome these suicidal tendencies of imitation, and how you can transform them into a newborn you – one that doesn’t hide its uniqueness, but thrives on it. There is a “divine idea which each of us represents” – which is yours?

– Fabian Kruse

Response:

I think there is some imitation in life at the start of things. Sometimes you have to try things out and find what works for you. That is the key though – what works for you. My divine idea, look around you for inspiration if you do not feel particularly inspired. Use something you think you like. Discard what you do not like. Keep what you do. Mold it to fit you and make it your own. Once it is yours, then you are no longer imitating.
