H and L, is that like H and M?

Standard

It turns out that H and L Market out in North Charleston on Rivers avenue by 526 is not like the H and M clothing store I used to go to in D.C. After hopping in a friend’s car with another lady to go to the market and get some  lunch I heard one of them say H and L and I thought maybe we were going shopping. Well we did, just not for clothes. We went H and L Asian Market shopping.

This place offers all things needed to prepare any type of Asian cuisine. There is also a Vietnamese lunch counter inside where the best Pho in town is served. They even have a newspaper article posted verifying this claim (and yes, all I had with me was the cell phone camera).

Before we dug into the Pho though we had some appetizers. I don’t remember what any of them were but they were all delicious! Then, we sampled the Pho.

Looks good doesn’t it? As this was the first Pho I have eaten, I will heartily agree that it is the best in town! One of my companions confirmed for me though that she has tried Pho elsewhere and this is the best Pho in town.

After lunch we did indeed “market” and here are some more shots to give you the full picture of this market’s offerings.

They even have the rice cookers, woks and pots to get the job done. You know, a little fried rice for you . . .

. . . and twenty of your closest friends.

Oh, and the stock pots to make soup for them too! Is there a burner big enough for this pot? I don’t think it would fit on my stove underneath the vent!

Anyway, H and L, not H and M,the Asian Market. Check it out!!!!
